Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Policy

Flascom recognizes the risks and hazards existing in the workplace.

Thus, the company shall ensure provision/ enforcement of the use of appropriate PPE for use by our staff. The PPE do not prevent or indemnity the workers against accidents, they only minimize the workers exposure to distressing experience if he/she unfortunately get involved in an accident. Thus, the use of these equipment calls for a diligent and rapt attention while work is being executed meaning workers should not be misled to be thinking that with his protective equipment, safety observance and compliance should be neglected.

HSE officer and the Engineer shall continue to monitor compliance and report noncompliance immediately, with strong advised against working without proper PPE.

Hence, no employee will be permitted to execute any job without proper use of required PPE at all time. The following PPE’s are required for the contract viz: 

• Harness belt
• Hard hat
• Coverall
• Hand gloves (welders, fitters and helpers etc)
• Safety boot
• Reflective vest
• Eye goggles
• Nose masks
• Welding apron
• Welding masks etc
