It is the policy of Flascom, to conduct its entire road transportation activities in a manner which will make every effort to properly safeguard all the personnel, equipment, and third parties. Flascom will conduct its activities in line with the Companies Safety Guidelines, the requirements of our Clients and all relevant Government requirements.
Flascom as a matter of policy will require anyone driving company vehicles to have in their possession a Client vehicle operating permit. The permit will designate the class of vehicles a driver is authorized to operate. All personnel who drive must go through evaluation and attend DDC at time of employment or after any break in service. The permit will not be issued until licensing, evaluation, and training requirements have been met by the applicant. Operating Consortiums vehicles without the permit will be considered a serious offense and subject to disciplinary action
It is the responsibility of the driver to ensure that the vehicle he or she is using is in proper working condition prior to operation. It is the responsibility of the driver to know and understand the Company Transport Responsibilities as well as the Journey Management procedure.
It is the responsibility of the driver to ensure that he or she knows and understands the Highway Code. It is the responsibility of the driver to ensure that all passengers wear seatbelts and that no unauthorized passengers are carried in their vehicles. The company maximum speed limits for the different classification of vehicles are as follows; All Flascom Drivers will adhere to the procedures for reporting accidents, and will report LTIs, and Near Misses. Failure to report an accident will be a serious offense.
